Bigger, Stronger, Faster – Documentary Review

I loved this documentary for the following reasons:

  • It was super entertaining
  • There was tons of good footage
  • The guy who made it does a really great job of getting to the bottom of the issue.
  • It was not at all about what I thought it was going to be about. Instead of taking a for or against stance on steroids he goes much deeper into the mindset that motivates people to use them in the first place and how the biggest problem that people have with them is that they are illegal.
  • I felt like I learned quite a bit about American culture from this angle.
  • I felt like he did his research and provided an unbiased collection of the data.
  • There were plenty of WWF clips form the 90′s.
  • Rent this – it’s worth watching.
  • Anyone else seen it? any other thoughts?

  1. I agree, it was a much different view of steroids then you here in the general media. It made me feel that steroids isn’t as big of a deal as people make it to be. I don’t know if this is good. I still think its cheating, but maybe not as dangerous as people claim.

I thought it was great also. It just goes as another example of how media and government can twist a scenario anyway they feel and we are forced to blindly believe what they have to say or do our own research.

Also, I’ll be starting my first cycle of juice next week.

yeah, it was funny how little i had actually thought about it. i’m not super amped on steroids but i know for sure that my reasons for being against them were not based on anything logical either. i only see that after watching the doc. it was crazy how 30 minutes into the doc you realize that he’s not necessarily building a bulletproof case against their use.

next week huh. my back hurts. i’m thinking about rainier soon. sign me up.
